A slow build an a passing into some other realm. Not through any kind of portal, but by being at the right site at the right time, as everything is somehow 'changed' around you. A Pallid Wave begins with the sounds of the harbour, waves and calls of gulls as a low hum drones underneath, slowly building charge. Extra textures make themselves known, unfolding from the familiar, until you find yourself carried to a parallel sonic environment.
Once familiar with the method, the change is much quicker on On Shores Of Night, as you become quickly enveloped in the currents generated by a storm.
This is all accomplished through use of guitar and vocals, effected and looped into rich magnetic textures in response to the source environment, swelling and building over the course of each tracks approximately twenty minute duration before gently fading out and depositing you at the site where you began.
